Working Hard, Hardly Working was published by Penguin in 2021, when she was twenty four. Its argument runs against the founder story she could easily have told instead: that working constantly is not the same as working well, that rest is part of the job rather than a reward for it, and that the version of entrepreneurship sold to her generation, all of it visible effort, is mostly performance.
