Who is Jim Kwik?

He learned to read on comic books, then taught the world to read faster.

He was born and raised in Westchester, New York, and in kindergarten he sustained a traumatic brain injury. What followed were significant learning challenges: the child at the back who cannot keep up, for years, in a system that has no patience with it.

He taught himself to read and write by reading comic books. Not a programme, not a specialist, not a tutor. Comics, because he wanted to know what happened next, and the wanting did the work that instruction could not. Later he taught himself to speed read as well.

In 2001, at twenty eight, he founded Kwik Learning. For the next eight years he taught accelerated learning programmes in person, in classrooms and inside companies. In 2009 Kwik Learning launched as an online platform, and by 2022 it had been used by students in 195 countries, which is almost every country there is.

The Kwik Brain podcast started in 2017 and by 2022 was one of the top educational podcasts on its platform. His book Limitless came out in 2020 and appeared on the Wall Street Journal, New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists. He speaks at conferences and seminars on accelerated learning. The whole business is one idea, which is that the way you were taught to learn is not the only way, and he is the proof, because nobody taught him at all.
