She picked up the sport at fifteen, and went first for everyone.

She was born in Kochkor, a village in the Naryn region, and did not discover freestyle wrestling until she was fifteen. In most sports that is too late. She also studied economics at Kyrgyz State Technical University, which is the other life running alongside this one.

In 2012, at nineteen, she went to the London Olympics and became the first woman to wrestle for Kyrgyzstan at the Games.
